Plots At Uisken x 3 | Bunessan

STUNNING PLOT for sale with an outlook over the BEACH with outlining PLANNING PERMISSION. A viewing is strongly advised to see how beautiful the setting is.

OVERVIEW This is an exclusive opportunity to acquire up to three prime development plots located within the small, picturesque hamlet of Uisken. Uisken, meaning water-bay, is nestled on the sheltered southern shores of the Ross of Mull. Located within an area of outstanding panoramic quality, the hamlet is accessed by a small local road that spills into a sheltered coastal inlet and delightful sandy beach, that is popular throughout the year with local residents and visiting tourists. Due to their elevated location, being set back from the beach and local road, each of the three plots affords a wonderful panoramic view of the beach, with tantalising glimpses of the Sound of Mull beyond, and the Paps of Jura and the Isle of Colonsay on the distant horizon. The plots, which measure 0.27 acres (Plot 1), 0.28 acres (Plot 2) and 0.29 acres (Plot 3) in size, have recently been granted planning permission (in principal) by Argyll and Bute Council. The consented application and all of the supporting documentation is available for consultation on Argyll and Bute Council’s planning portal under Planning Reference Number: 18/00170/PPP.

LOCATION The village of Bunessan, located a short 2.7-mile drive from Uisken, has a range of local amenities, which includes a shop/post office, tearoom/restaurant, primary school and prosperous local hotel, which serves food throughout the day. The village also supports a resident doctor, manned police station and local fire station. Further afield, the small village of Fionnphort, located 6 miles to the west of Bunessan, is a gateway to the famous Isle of Iona, with its numerous tearooms, gift shops, historical centres (Iona Abby and Nunnery), museums and breath-taking blonde sandy beaches.

ACCESS The Isle of Mull is serviced by Caledonian MacBrayne’s ferries, which sail a regular service from Craignure (32 miles to the northeast of Uisken) to the coastal town of Oban, a comfortable three-hour drive from Glasgow. Alternatively, smaller ferries, which regularly sail throughout the day between Fishnish and Lochaline, can be accessed by road from Fort William. Note: The Isle of Mull is part of the Scottish Government’s Road Equivalent Tarif (R.E.T), which links ferry fares to the cost of travelling an equivalent distance on land, and covers fares for passengers, cars, small commercial vehicles and coaches.
